In station 2 it is programmed for the primer pocket probe of your choice. Unprocessed primer pockets are one of the most common and most dangerous issues in remanufactured ammo. While slightly redundant with the station 1 reject, it also protects against primer pull back and primer “ringers”. This also gives us the ability to sort small and large primer pockets without slowing the press down at all. You can purchase the VP MFG Reamer with your press, or integrate in the Mark 7 swage Sense, Dillon Primer Pocket Probe, etc.
Coming around to the last station before leaving the press, we have added Crack Check Die on all pistol presses. The crack check die is incredibly unique in that it is far more than just a “crack check”. Using a fully adjustable pressure switch, we can use the pressure generated by case activation to reject cracks, internal profile discrepancies that fall outside of SAAMI, and cases that were damaged in process. It will also reject calibers that didn’t get sorted out properly, whether it is too tall or too short (i.e., 38 super, 380 auto, and 9×18 from 9mm Luger). All rifle presses will feature a Chamber/Neck ID Check. The purpose of this die is to maintain efficiency in the reloading steps to come. Dented necks, blown out shoulders, and the wrong calibers kill production while priming and loading. This die has worked incredibly well to remove un-reloadable cases without skipping a beat.
The INEX features a fully adjustable mechanical clutch to meet the needs of the caliber and it will automatically turn off if the press is not cycled. It also features a “good product” counter as well as a counter for each reject station.
